DTSC brownfield cleanup sets stage for 72-acre Curtis Park Village

A February 15 celebration by city and state officials in Sacramento marked a successful toxic soils cleanup that will spark a $31 million construction project and 1,600 jobs on a vacant railroad site near downtown Sacramento. DTSC’s remediation effort clears way for one of the city’s largest urban infill developments - 530 new residences, seven acres of parks and 259,000 square feet of commercial buildings. The project is expected to generate $2.5 million in annual property taxes.
