Emergency Regulations
DTSC adopts emergency regulations when it determines, and the Office of Administrative Law concurs, that there is an immediate need for a regulation to protect the public health and safety, or the general welfare. Typically, emergency regulations stay in effect for 120 days, during which DTSC conducts their rule-making process to permanently adopt the regulations.
