Public Workshop on Potential Health and Safety Impacts of Chemicals in Nail Salon Products
SACRAMENTO – On March 2, the Department of Toxic Substances Control will host a daylong workshop focusing on the potential health and safety impacts of chemicals in nail salon products. The goal of the workshop is to facilitate a dialogue among experts from industry, academia, NGOs, and other government agencies.
Topics will include:
- Chemicals in nail salon products
- Product formulations and manufacturing
- Alternative chemicals
- Initiatives to improve chemical safety
- Worker exposures to nail salon products
