McClymonds High School Test Results for TCE Verified

SACRAMENTO – DTSC has verified the results from tests conducted at McClymonds High School in Oakland, and we determined that there is no significant risk from TCE to students and staff on the premises. We are pleased with these results and remain committed to working with the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health and the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board to continue to evaluate sources of contamination in groundwater.

Our mission is to protect California’s people and environment from the harmful effects of toxic substances. To be certain that those who are living in the communities surrounding Lane Metal Finishers and other sites are safe, we are expanding the scope of our testing to include those areas.

We will continue to keep the community updated on the progress of our work.
