Carcinogenicity
The sixteen carcinogenic substances1 listed below, when present in a waste in a single or combined concentration equal to (or) exceeding 0.001 percent (10 ppm) by weight, make the waste hazardous.

- Acrylonitrile
- 4-aminodiphenyl
- Benzidine
- Bis(chloromethyl) ether
- Methyl chloromethylether
- 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane
- 3,3-dichlorobenzidine and its salts
- Dimethylaminoazabenzene
- Ethyleneimine
- Alpha-naphthylamine
- Beta-naphthylamine
- 4-Nitrobiphenyl
- N-Nitrosodimethylamine
- Beta-propiolactone
- Vinyl chloride
