  3. Presentation on Safer Consumer Products Program Updates
    Staff will provide a brief update on DTSC’s implementation of the Safer Consumer
    Products (SCP) regulations to the Panel members.
  4. Public Comment
    Members of the public may offer comments to the Panel on agenda items.
  5. Discussion of SCP’s Prioritization Retrospective and Springboard into the Future
    The staff presentation will provide a view into the scientific processes of SCP’s
    prioritization efforts and will highlight the decision-making processes and policies that
    underlie the selection of Priority Products. The Panel will discuss issues surrounding
    transparency, policy concerns, and the scientific basis of the prioritization process.

  6. Prioritization Retrospective and Springboard into the Future: Priority Product Profile
    The Panel will discuss the goals and function of the Priority Product Profile and its evolution to
    accommodate different Product-Chemical Combinations.
  7. Prioritization Retrospective and Springboard into the Future: Priority Product Selection
    Panel members will provide guidance on the scientific and strategic considerations in
    Priority Product selection.
  8. Prioritization Retrospective and Springboard into the Future: Priority Product Work Plan
    The Panel will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the DTSC’s non-formulaic
    Work Plan and how that compares to a more prescriptive work plan. The Panel will
    provide input on how the Work Plan can best help DTSC achieve its objectives.

    Panel Co-Chairs will briefly summarize outcomes from the previous day’s discussion and
    will outline the day’s agenda topics.

  3. Alternatives Analysis Threshold
    The Panel will advise on the issues associated with the implementation of an
    Alternatives Analysis Threshold (AAT).
