Hazardous Waste ID Number Translation from HWTS to RCRAInfo

Permanent State ID numbers issued by Friday by 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PT) are translated every Friday after 5:00 PM (PT) into U.S. EPA’s RCRAInfo System. This occurs once a week to give DTSC staff issuing permanent State ID numbers the opportunity to correct any known data entry errors to the ID number record before it is translated. Temporary State ID numbers issued on or before 11:00 PM (PT) are translated into RCRAInfo the next business day. If a State ID number is not in RCRAInfo, email us at myrcraid@dtsc.ca.gov. 

HWTS User Account Requests

HWTS user accounts are for regulatory agency users only. If you are a DTSC staff, submit a ServiceNow ticket to request an account. For all other regulators email hwtsadmn@dtsc.ca.gov. 

HWTS User Accounts Cleanup

If you are a manager or supervisor, email hwtsadmn@dtsc.ca.gov to request a list of active HWTS regulatory agency user accounts from your agency. Please review the list to identify employees who are no longer with your agency or no longer need access so that DTSC can deactivate their user accounts. 2025 Electronic Verification Questionnaire System (eVQ) Open

DTSC’s annual Verification Questionnaire for hazardous waste ID numbers will launch on January 31, 2025, and close on March 31, 2025. If you receive inquiries about the eVQ, email eVQ@dtsc.ca.gov.
