Technical Training

EERD’s mission is to protect human health and the environment through consistent
and timely investigations, enforcement and emergency response.

The Enforcement and Emergency Response Division (EERD) offers technical training and resources to inform hazardous waste regulators, regulated entities, community advocates, and the general public on various hazardous waste management topics.

The following online and self-paced training courses can be completed at any time.

HAZARDOUS WASTE CLASSIFICATION TRAINING

This course provides information and guidance on California’s hazardous waste classification laws and regulations.

MERCURY LAMP DISPOSAL TRAINING

This course provides information and guidance on the management, recycling, and transportation of mercury lamp waste, including fluorescent lamps.
