Community Resource Fair for Residents Potentially Impacted by the Exide Recycling Plant

SACRAMENTO – The Department of Toxic Substances Control and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti are co-sponsoring a Community resource Fair and Neighborhood Walk on Saturday in Boyle Heights. Information will be available to those potentially impacted by the now-closed Exide battery recycling plant in Vernon. More than 200 volunteers will also canvass the neighborhood to inform residents about lead contamination and collect access agreements that will allow DTSC to conduct soil testing.
