Public Workshops on Administrative Penalties Regulations to Evaluate Possible Revisions

The Department of Toxic Substances Control held a series of public workshops to review the current Administrative Penalties Regulations (22 CCR 66272.60-66272.69) and discuss possible revisions to these regulations.  Three separate workshops were conducted on June 7, 2019, August 7, 2019, and September 18, 2019 at DTSC’s Sacramento, Chatsworth, and Berkeley Regional Offices, respectively.  The purpose of these workshops was to inform the public and other stakeholders that DTSC is reviewing the current penalty regulations for possible revisions and to gather comments and opinions regarding what in the penalty regulations need to be re-examined and revised.  DTSC also presented and gathered information and comments about some alternative concepts that could go into the revisions.
