Feedback Sessions

Last Updated: November 1, 2023
ECRG Round 2 closed on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. The Department of Toxic Substances Control’s (DTSC’s) Office of Brownfields is happy to announce that we received 48 applications for $90.2 million dollars.
The Office of Brownfields is actively reviewing the applications and will announce awards early next year. We are humbled with the overwhelming response to ECRG Round 2, but we would like to continue improving the ECRG process. To this end, we have designed a short 3-5 minute survey to better understand challenges you may have faced during your application, or why you did not apply. The results of this anonymous survey and other future outreach efforts will help inform the guidelines and application process for Round 3 of ECRG, which is anticipated to open in Fall 2024
The ECRG provides California public entities, nonprofit organizations and Tribes the funding to conduct: Community-wide Assessments, Site-specific Investigations, and/or Site-specific Cleanups.
Funding available:

  • Community-wide Assessment Grant (CWA) – $350k
  • Site-specific Investigation Grant – $150k to $7M
  • Site-specific Cleanup Grant – $300k to $10M

We Look Forward to Hearing From You!
