Kettleman Hills Facility Draft Permit Documents

DTSC has proposed a draft permit that would authorize Chemical Waste Management to continue to conduct hazardous waste landfill operations at the Kettleman Hills Facility. DTSC has also prepared a Kettleman City Vulnerability Evaluation using CalEnviroScreen Data (CES Report) that evaluates the environmental burdens and socioeconomic impacts in Kettleman City.

An extended and enhanced public engagement process has been incorporated that ensures everyone has access to information about the draft permit renewal decision and that public input is received throughout the process. Public comment on the draft permit renewal was open from April 3, 2024 to July 19, 2024. We appreciate your feedback!
